Product Information :The longan is also called 'the cherry of Asia'. The fruit is eaten there in large quantities by the local population. The longan has a nutmeg-like taste and is sweeter and more aromatic than the lychee and rambutan. The longan is slightly smaller than the lychee, but has the same scaly skin. The peel is initially orange, but changes color to beige to brown within 24 hours after harvest. There is a brown seed inside the glassy, white flesh. The longan owes its evocative nickname 'dragon's eye' to this.
